Reset Original Canon Ink Chips

If you have refilled your ink cartridges and did not reset the chips with a resetter, and then forced your printer to print despite the ink level control monitor telling you the cartridge was empty, then your original chips are blown and can no longer be reset.

So, if you want to know when your ink is running low, or is out, to avoid a printing mess, then you need a new set of original chips. These chips are the answer. They are OEM Canon Chips still attached to original Canon Cartridges. The cartridges are virgin, meaning used once, but they not fresh, so if you plan to use the whole cartridge, follow the instructions at the bottom of this page.

THESE CHIPS HAVE BEEN RESET to the Original Canon Specs, so your Print Level Monitor will read ink levels again.

How To Clean A Dried Ink Cartridge

1) Fill a small, shallow dish with distilled water for the cli inks and isopropyl alcohol for the pgi ink.
2) Submerge the cartridges and swish around gently till the ink flows free. You may have to gently squeeze each cart to get the ink to flow out. This usually takes about three dishes of water..
3) Remove them from the solution, squeeze gently to get out the excess water. Then dry the outside with a lint-free cloth, avoid touching the ink outflow pad, and avoid putting your fingers on the chips.or the outflow pad.
4) Let them sit till the insides are mostly dry. I let them rest overnight and then refill them.
5) Fill them with ink, or store till you are ready to fill them.
